Zaterdag 21 mei 2016 stond de eerste seizoenafsluiting voor de EWC/Resia jeugd op het programma, met als doel het afgelopen seizoen met alle spelers, leiders en ouders gezamenlijk op één locatie af te sluiten. Plaats van akte was het sportpark in Well, waar tevens was gezorgd voor een hapje en drankje.

De dag begon met een ochtendprogramma voor de Mini-F en F-jeugd, aansluitend de E- en D-jeugd en op het einde van de middag een programma voor de C- en B-jeugd. Gedurende de dag stonden onder meer de onderdelen voetgolf, Jeu de Fussball, penaltyschieten en diverse wedstrijden tegen de ouders op het programma.
Winnaar van het penalty schieten (voor E- D-jeugd) werd Max van Kuijk. Hij was in de spannende finaleronde na afkempen net iets beter dan Reno Nijssen, de nummer 2. Overige finalisten waren Sven Lensen, Ahmad Razai, Jules Deckers en Owen Martens.

De C- en B- jeugd speelden onderling een voetvolley beach-toernooi, onder aanvoering van de beats van DJ Jules van Schaijck! Overall winnaar bij het voetvolley werd het team bestaande uit Niels Maarse, Leroy Koppes, Side Hebben en San Michels (B-jeugd). Zij waren in de finale te sterk voor het team bestaande uit de spelers Anne Hendrix, Cas Nijsen, Joost Weijs, Michel Linders en Silvan Reuzen (C-jeugd).

Al met al een geslaagde dag en dus een succesvolle afsluiting, mede dankzij de enthousiaste spelers, leiders en ouders!
